Changing behavior can be hard. As change practitioners, we’ll often script out the specific behaviors we want people to start, stop, and continue doing. It’s common to create guidebooks and job aids to support our stakeholders. For complex change initiatives, such as changing culture or introducing a new way to work, manuals can take on a life of their own and grow into tens and tens of pages. While helpful, the size of the manual can be counterproductive by making people feel overwhelmed and not willing to dive in.
In this discussion we’ll show how we transformed a 40-page manual into an interactive guide that links communication and training resources and lessons learned to each step. At the end of this discussion, you’ll be able to:
