This CoP meeting provides participants with the opportunity to expand their change management expertise by understanding the impact of implicit bias, and learning how to create an inclusive culture. Session objectives:

  • Define implicit bias
  • Use of theories to understand implicit bias
  • Brainstorm strategies for recognizing and minimizing our biases
  • Discuss partnering with organizations to make them more diverse, inclusive, and equitable

About the Speaker: Dr. Stephen Pick, PMP, ACC

Stephen is an internal Organization Development Specialist and executive coach in the Federal government.  Stephen moved to Washington DC in 1999 while completing his dissertation. He worked at The Office of Personnel Management for five years before transitioning to the private sector for 11 years. In 2015, Stephen moved back to the Federal government and is now at the Department of the Treasury. Stephen’s BA is from the University of Delaware. His Organizational Psychology doctorate is from Rutgers University. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and an Associate Certified Coach (ACC). He attended ACMP’s Prosci’s training in 2017. Steve lives in Reston, VA with his wife, their teenage daughter, and two pets.
