Build a Thriving Community of Practice:  A case study in empowering Change Leaders to translate knowledge into value-generating action

  • Are you struggling to build a culture of change in your organization?
  • Have you and your colleagues benefited from change management training but need to take the next step to keep growing together, week after week, month after month?
  • Have you ever noticed that often the best learning you’ve gained comes from informal conversations with your peers?

Then this month’s virtual Lunch N’Learn is for you.

A community of practice is a forum for people to learn, share and collaborate together, growing their individual and collective capability to successfully manage change in real-life.  In this session, you’ll learn proven steps to get your own community of practice off the ground.  Using a case study and sharing practical insights, this session will guide you in building a thriving community of practice.

As a result of this session, participants will:

  • Understand why building a community of practice is important in supporting change leaders.
  • Understand what differentiates a community of practice from formal, classroom learning.
  • Learn the simple steps involved in starting a community of practice.
  • Gain insight into how to make a community of practice thrive and generate value.
  • Learn facilitation activities for effective community engagements.
